I am a passionate and creative photographer, based in Bavaria, Germany.
My passion for photography began in my teenage years, when I received my first camera, a Kodak Instamatic, as a present. After that I have used a Yashica 35mm compact camera, and then I moved on to various Nikon SLR and DSLR cameras. My current DSLR camera is a Nikon D7200. For some occasions, where I can't take my DSLR camera with me, I use a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ100.
In the late 1990s I developed a great enthusiasm for concert photography and I take my camera along to concerts, whenever possible.
In the year 2000, I was published twice thanks to the Scottish band Runrig. Their 'Live at Celtic Connections' CD features one of my photos on the inside cover, and their book 'Flower of the West, The Runrig Songbook' features another one of my photos.
In 2002 and 2004, I was published again by Runrig, this time in two of their 'Access All Areas' CD's, which are exclusively available to Fanclub members. I took these photos in early 2002 at their concert in the Albert Hall in Stirling, for which I had received an exclusive photo pass to shoot during the sound check and during the concert. This was a fantastic opportunity for me to take great shots close to the stage, from lots of different angles, as usually I just take my photos from my spot in the audience.
In summer 2019, three of my photos, taken at Runrig's Farewell concert in Stirling in 2018, were selected to be featured in the 'Thank You and Goodnight' exhibition at North Uist's Taigh Chearsabhagh Museum & Arts Centre.
Apart from Runrig concerts, I have taken photos at many other concerts and events over the years and will continue to do so. I also have a passion for landscape and wildlife photography and more recently I specialised in studio/portrait photography.
